TSA has been hard at work educating legislators on expanding and passing established and new laws pertaining to hemp and medical marijuana. The bill HB 1535 is a perfect example to hopefully expand the Texas medical marijuana program so those in need can actually get the benefits of medical cannabis. At the current state, you are only allowed up to .5% and only a handful of medical issues qualify. That is an injustice and we are here to help expand that rule. Currently what has passed the house is additional qualifications such as PTSD, pain, cancer patients, and other ailments. They are also considering raising the level of THC to 5% by weight. It still has to pass the senate and it can be amended. Hopefully we will see a step in the right direction. Time to get back to work on opening up medical cannabis.
